Mahir Ahmed
Mahir is currently part of the Lighthouse Academy. He completed his LLB degree at the University of the Western Cape during 2016-2019, having graduated amidst the mayhem of the corona-virus pandemic. He is currently working toward his LLM degree in both Corporate Law and Information and Communications Technology Law.
Mahir has always been keen to involve himself practically as much as possible and at university participated in moot court, did vacation work at various law firms, and an 8-month internship at a law firm concurrently while working on his LLM. Mahir believes that by knowing the law and educating people about their rights, we can truly make a difference in the world. He believes strongly in diligence and hard work - and tries to heed the words of Paul Bryant that “It’s not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.”
Mahir enjoys spending time outdoors, with family or with a book. He is looking forward to gaining the most out of the Academy, building meaningful relationships with peers.
