Thabo leads our consulting service, Beacon Consulting, providing our clients with technology procurement support at a senior level. He is a highly proficient cost management professional, who has delivered large scale multinational cost optimisation programs always underpinned with a Total Cost of Ownership mindset and aimed at ensuring sustainable value delivery.

With a background in telecoms and engineering, Thabo has worked with some of the largest multinational corporations in South Africa. He spent several years at SABMiller, where he quickly rose through the ranks to lead the Technology Procurement function for South Africa. In 2015, he became responsible for Technology Procurement across SABMiller's Africa Operations including a portfolio of 17 countries across the continent.

When SABMiller was acquired by ABInbev, Thabo successfully transitioned into the new organisation taking on the role of Indirects Procurement Director for Africa Operations. In this role he successfully led and managed Africa Procurement Operations for all of ABInbev's Non-Production Spend & Capital Expenditure including services such as Technology, Facilities, Professional Services, Travel, Financial Services and HR & Corporate Affairs. In 2018, he was appointed as the Director of Procurement Marketing Operations.

Thabo has since moved to consulting within the procurement and technology sectors, while also pursuing his entrepreneurial interests and running various businesses in the property, technology, and transport industries.
